Some people have asked me where I stand on certain issues and lifestyles. What the Bible says is sin is exactly that, sin. Men will always try and interpret the nocompromiseBible in ways to justify themselves or just entirely ignore it. They have given it all kinds of flowery names to make it more palatable. They say well the Bible didn’t really mean that or it has been mistranslated. They say that times have changed and God has changed with the times. God is unchangeable. Malachi 3:6 says; "For I am the the Lord, I do not change."

Jude 3-4 says; "Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints. For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord."  There are those who would call themselves Christians who are doing that very thing and excusing sin in the church today. As Jude said, they have secretly slipped in among us and grabbed hold of those who are weak in the faith. Whole denominations which once stood for holiness have cast it aside and now welcome sinners into the pulpit. The church which Christ has called to be spotless and holy has compromised so that people will not be offended. The last time I checked the gospel will always offend those who do not want to give up those things that keep them from God. Jesus said in John 3:19-20; And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

I hate sin because God hates sin. But I love the sinner because so does God. Sin separates us from God. I can’t agree with the way they live because to agree would put me at odds with God. God is holy and no sin can enter His presence. There is no black and white when it comes to God. Shades of grey don’sunlightt exist and for the Christian there should be no compromise. He has called us His people to be holy. 1 Peter 1:13-15.says; "Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy."

He has also asked us to keep ourselves from those who practice sin even if they would call themselves a Christian. 2 Cor. 6:14-17 says; "Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will dwell in them And walk among them.I will be their God, And they shall be My people."Therefore "Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you." "I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the LORD Almighty."

An Anglican church here in Montreal this past weekend held a vote on whether or not they would stay with their diocese or break from it over issue of allowing gays in the pulpit. If they break from it they stand to lose the building they are meeting in as it belongs to the diocese. I commend my brothers and sisters in Christ at St. Stephens for standing up for what is right, It will cost them, but the reward of obedience and staying true to the Word is worth it.

  1. Wow time travel! where back in the 12th century.Grow up and smell the reality, we don\’t have "God\’s" in Australia, we take personal responsibility for our own action, not blame it all on some deity.

  2. Terry, guess you don\’t realize that you live in a country that is very much a Christian nation with some of the largest churches in the world. At least by visiting my space you have heard the gospel and you have no excuse now when you stand before the God you don\’t believe exists. He loves you Terry in spite of what you may think of Him and those who follow Him.
