How cool is it that not only did a born again Christian, 17 year old Jordan Sparks win the competition, but the song writing contest was won by two Christian Pastors, Scott Krippayne and Jeff Peabody. They wrote the song that Jordan sang; This Is My Now.

The show this year was loaded with Christians in both the singing and songwriting areas. To me it shows that when you recognize a talent that God has given you, you strive to be the best you can at it in order to please God. It is no wonder that Christians rise to the top.

Other Christians were Melinda Doolittle who used to sing back-up for Bebe and Cece Winins as well as Yolanda Adams and many other Christian artists. The others were Phil Stacy and Chris Sligh.

I am sure we will be hearing a lot from these four in the future. Pray for them. That God will help them to keep their eyes fixed on Him.
