A Pakistani teen who embraced Christianity has escaped death at the hands of her family, who unsuccessfully demanded she recant her faith, an international ministry group says.

Voice of the Martyrs said the girl, identified only as Diana, now is in hiding for her life.

She grew up in a strict Islamic family in Pakistan, the group said, and her life was "typical" until she met a girl named Mary who was a Christian, and Diana decided to embrace the faith.

"When Diana’s family learned that she had become a Christian, they repeatedly beat her and insisted she return to Islam," the organization, which ministers to the persecuted Christian church worldwide, said.

"But Diana refused. She was then forced to a local canal where her uncle put a pistol to her head and gave her one last chance to return to Islam. Diana replied, ‘You can kill me if you want. I will not leave Christ,’" VOM confirmed.

"It was then," VOM said, "that Diana’s uncle noticed an extremely poisonous black cobra swimming in the canal. Believing he could escape any prosecution for his niece’s death, he threw her into the path of the cobra."

Miraculously, Diana, who could not swim, escaped and went into hiding, VOM said.

"She recently told Voice of the Martyrs, ‘Jesus was crucified for us. Can we not endure some of the same for Him?"

Rise Up!

Bless the LORD, who is my rock.

He gives me strength for war

and skill for battle.

He is my loving ally and my fortress,

my tower of safety, my deliverer.

He stands before me as a shield, and I take refuge in him.

He subdues the nations under me. Psalm 144:1-2 (NLT)

David was a man who was pressed on every side by enemies, even some in his own household. But David knew who he was. He was anointed by God to be King of Israel and he was a warrior. He knew that it was God who gave him his strength. It was God who trained him. God was his ally and his shield and fortress. If things looked bad he always ran to the one who created him. Yes David failed at times, but he always got back up, repented and went on. He was a man after God’s own heart.

Like David, Paul was also pressed on all sides and this is what he wrote through the Holy Spirit in 2 Corinthians 4:8-12 "We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed and broken. We are perplexed, but we don’t give up and quit. We are hunted down, but God never abandons us. We get knocked down, but we get up again and keep going. Through suffering, these bodies of ours constantly share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies. Yes, we live under constant danger of death because we serve Jesus, so that the life of Jesus will be obvious in our dying bodies. So we live in the face of death, but it has resulted in eternal life for you." (NLT)

And in Romans 8:31-39 "What can we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since God did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t God, who gave us Christ, also give us everything else? Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? Will God? No! He is the one who has given us right standing with himself. Who then will condemn us? Will Christ Jesus? No, for he is the one who died for us and was raised to life for us and is sitting at the place of highest honour next to God, pleading for us. Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or are hungry or cold or in danger or threatened with death? (Even the Scriptures say, "For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep."No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us." (NLT)

The victory is ours! We have been made kings and priests and the bible tells us we are seated in high places with Christ. We need to rise up and seize the day! The things and cares of this world should never keep us from being what we truly are in Christ. We are warriors trained by the King himself. Rise up my brothers and sisters, mighty men and women of valour and let’s move forward taking what the Lord has promised us.

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
      for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Matthew 5:10-12

Change Your Heart, Change Your Mind

Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. Romans 12:2 (AMP)
Many of us want to walk in God’s will and yet we struggle to know what it is. Why? Because our minds are in places they shouldn’t be. Sometimes we may not even realize this as we have become numb to the things of God. We have to change and renew our minds. That means turning from things that would keep us from God. Maybe things that we didn’t think were that harmful.

There are so many distractions in our western society. So many things that call for our attention. It is so easy to come home after a hard day of work and plop down in front of a television and let it fill our heads with garbage. 95% of the things on T.V. today are not worth watching and yet we give it more time than our God. The television news is run mostly by those with left-wing views who give us a one sided veiw of the news as was just seen in Israel’s battle with Hezbollah. If you watch the news, especially CNN, you’ll see how little they show about the destruction and hardships in Israel. They have started calling the terrorists resistance fighters and people fall for it. They have made Israel look like the enemy. All she did was defend herself against an unprovoked attack.

How can we sit through such garbage, when they and the celebrities laugh and mock Christians and our beliefs.

Lol, I’m getting off topic here. I’ll have to save my ranting for another day.

We have to be careful what ours eyes see and hear. We can have a very unbalanced veiw of life if we are not.

Jesus said in Matthew 6:22-23; The eye is the lamp of the body. So if your eye is sound, your entire body will be full of light. But if your eye is unsound, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the very light in you [your conscience] is darkened, how dense is that darkness!

Proverbs tells us that our senses are never satisfied.

Sheol (the place of the dead) and Abaddon (the place of destruction) are never satisfied; so [the lust of] the eyes of man is never satisfied. Proverbs 27:20

Giving in to our lusts and desires results in a heart and mind that is far from God. We become undecerning and lose sight of the things of God. Paul writes in Romans 8:5-9;

5For those who are according to the flesh and are controlled by its unholy desires set their minds on and pursue those things which gratify the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit and are controlled by the desires of the Spirit set their minds on and seek those things which gratify the [Holy] Spirit.

Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever].

7[That is] because the mind of the flesh [with its carnal thoughts and purposes] is hostile to God, for it does not submit itself to God’s Law; indeed it cannot.

8So then those who are living the life of the flesh [catering to the appetites and impulses of their carnal nature] cannot please or satisfy God, or be acceptable to Him.

9But you are not living the life of the flesh, you are living the life of the Spirit, if the [Holy] Spirit of God [really] dwells within you [directs and controls you]. But if anyone does not possess the [Holy] Spirit of Christ, he is none of His [he does not belong to Christ, is not truly a child of God].

About 3 years ago, I turned off my television. I got rid of the cable. I could no longer see any redeeming value through it. I didn’t throw out the T.V. I kept it to watch dvds and other mediums. If I want to watch a certain show, I download it on the internet, minus all the commercials which are sometimes worse than the shows themselves. I also don’t read any newspapers. I used to receive our local newspaper until I got tired of the Christian bashing that I kept reading in it’s pages.

Using the computer allows me to filter the news that I read. I go to news sites that come from a Christian world view and give a factual account of what’s going on in the world. But even with the internet you have to be careful as it is filled with places that can easily cause you to stumble. It pays to get yourself a good filter to protect yourself and your children if you have any.

The real test of where your mind and heart are is what consumes your thoughts most of the day? Is it your job? Your family? Entertainment? Or are you consumed by God? It doesn’t hurt to examine our hearts everyday. As a matter of fact we have to. If you are consumed by God, you’ll be passionate for all things concerning Him. If your heart and mind are in the right place, it is not a chore but a joy to read His word and spend time with Him. When we do this it is easy to know what His will for your life is. If not you’ll find yourself running in circles.

The word tells us in Phillipians 4:8-9;

8For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].

9Practice what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and model your way of living on it, and the God of peace (of untroubled, undisturbed well-being) will be with you.

The secret to living in this world is to make sure our hearts and minds are constantly filled with things that glorify God and exalt His name. Because only He is worthy of all your attention.

Media Fraud

I found this interesting page today and I think you need take a look at it. The media is anti-Israel and will go out of it’s way to have people believe that they are bombing and killing Lebanese citizins on purpose.  This will show you some of the fraud taking place.
As Christians we have a duty to pray for the Jews and Israel. I applaud Prime Minister Harper for his stand. We are at war with terrorists who want to see us and our way of life destroyed. I stand with Israel and I stand for freedom from those who think that they gain heaven by killing themselves and others.  Do you? They shall never prevail. Their cause is a lost one that will result in their destruction. Pray for those in Israel and Lebanon. Pray for the souls of those that are caught up in this false religion called Islam that they would be set free and find the truth in Christ.
Peace will not come to this world until the Prince of Peace returns.
Even so, come Lord Jesus, come!

Worship Costs

Jesus said; "A time will come, however, indeed it is already here, when the true (genuine) worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth (reality); for the Father is seeking just such people as these as His worshipers." John 4:23 (AMP)
Many of us would like to think that we do worship in spirit and truth. But do we really worship the way He has asked us to? Think about it. Is the only time you worship the Lord when you attend church? Does it begin and end with your Sunday service or whenever you attend a church service? If so you are not a true worshipper. Worship for the believer is a complete lifestyle. To worship in spirit and truth requires all you have and everything you are. It is not just singing songs at a service or during personal devotions. It is everything you do. No matter how big or small. It is a lifestyle that requires boldness and it costs, sometimes even your very life. Christ paid a very high price for us and yet as in the words of Keith Green "You can’t even get out of bed." We serve him half-heartedly. The best of our passion we give to other things. Listen to what God said to the priests in Malachi
“ A son honors his father,
      And a servant his master.
      If then I am the Father,
      Where is My honor?
      And if I am a Master,
      Where is My reverence?
      Says the LORD of hosts
      To you priests who despise My name.
      Yet you say, ‘In what way have we despised Your name?’
       7 “ You offer defiled food on My altar,
      But say,

      ‘ In what way have we defiled You?’
      By saying,

      ‘ The table of the LORD is contemptible.’
       8 And when you offer the blind as a sacrifice,
      Is it not evil?
      And when you offer the lame and sick,
      Is it not evil?
      Offer it then to your governor!
      Would he be pleased with you?
      Would he accept you favorably?”
      Says the LORD of hosts.
       9 “ But now entreat God’s favor,
      That He may be gracious to us.
      Whilethis is being done by your hands,
      Will He accept you favorably?”
      Says the LORD of hosts.
       10 “ Who is there even among you who would shut the doors,
      So that you would not kindle fire on My altar in vain?
      I have no pleasure in you,”
      Says the LORD of hosts,

      “ Nor will I accept an offering from your hands.
       11 For from the rising of the sun, even to its going down,
      My name shall be great among the Gentiles;
      In every place incense shall be offered to My name,
      And a pure offering;
      For My name shall be great among the nations,”
      Says the LORD of hosts.
       12 “ But you profane it,
      In that you say,

      ‘ The table of the LORD is defiled;
      And its fruit, its food, is contemptible.’
       13 You also say,

      ‘ Oh, what a weariness!’
      And you sneer at it,”
      Says the LORD of hosts.

      “ And you bring the stolen, the lame, and the sick;
      Thus you bring an offering!
      Should I accept this from your hand?”
      Says the LORD.
       14 “ But cursed be the deceiver
      Who has in his flock a male,
      And takes a vow,
      But sacrifices to the Lord what is blemished—
      For I am a great King,”
      Says the LORD of hosts,

      “ And My name is to be feared among the nations. Malachi 1:8-14 (NKJV)

They were giving their second best to God and God rejected it. In the same way God will not except worship that is anything less then your best.
David after he had taken a census wanted to buy a threshing floor from Ornan so he could build an alter and sacrifice to the Lord in order that the plague that had been caused by his disobedience may be stopped.
But Ornan said to David, “Take it to yourself, and let my lord the king do what is good in his eyes. Look, I also give you the oxen for burnt offerings, the threshing implements for wood, and the wheat for the grain offering; I give it all.”
24 Then King David said to Ornan, “No, but I will surely buy it for the full price, for I will not take what is yours for the LORD, nor offer burnt offerings with that which costs me nothing.” 25 So David gave Ornan six hundred shekels of gold by weight for the place. 1 Chronicles 21:23-25 (NKJV)
David would not give to the Lord sacrifice and worship unless it cost him. He would not give a lukewarm sacrifice.
One man who went all the way and was willing to do anything to prove his worship to God was Abraham. Abraham had stood on God’s promise for an heir for many years and finnaly in his twilight years, Abraham had seen God’s promise fulfilled in the birth of his son Isaac. But then God asked Abraham for his son back in the form of a sacrifice. In Genesis 22:2 God says to him; “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”
Abraham loved his son, but he loved God so much more. Here was a friend of God, a man who walked with God on His way to destroy Sodom and persuaded Him to stay His hand if there was a certain number of believers in that city. God was asking for Abraham’s best. What did Abraham do? Even though he didn’t understand, he obeyed and in Hebrews 11:17-19 it is said of him; By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, 18 of whom it was said, “In Isaac your seed shall be called,”19 concluding that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead, from which he also received him in a figurative sense.
Understand that God never would have accepted a human sacrifice, but He wanted to test Abraham’s heart. Was he a true worshipper? Would he go all the way? He did. Read the rest of what happened.
3 So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him. 4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted his eyes and saw the place afar off. 5 And Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder and worship, and we will come back to you.”
6 So Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife, and the two of them went together. 7 But Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, “My father!”
And he said, “Here I am, my son.”
Then he said, “Look, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?”
8 And Abraham said, “My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering.” So the two of them went together.
9 Then they came to the place of which God had told him. And Abraham built an altar there and placed the wood in order; and he bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, upon the wood. 10 And Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son.
11 But the Angel of the LORD called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!”
So he said, “Here I am.”
12 And He said, “Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.”
13 Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son. 14 And Abraham called the name of the place, The-LORD-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, “In the Mount of the LORD it shall be provided.”
15 Then the Angel of the LORD called to Abraham a second time out of heaven, 16 and said: “By Myself I have sworn, says the LORD, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son— 17 blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. 18 In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.” 19 So Abraham returned to his young men, and they rose and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba. Genesis 22:3-19 (NKJV)
Because Abraham gave his best and was willing to do anything to please God, God blessed Him. Abraham did not hold back in his worship. He was a true lover of God. He was a true worshipper who knew how to worship in spirit and truth.
Today give your best to God in everything you do. God may test your heart from time to time. He may ask for things that are very dear to you. You can’t compimise in this. His great blessings come only in obedience and sacrifice. Give God your best in worship even if it costs you everything.

Blinded By Liberal Media?

Middle East poll

Most Canadians feel Prime Minister Harper’s support for Israel in the Middle East crisis is out of step with their own feelings.

A poll done over the past week finds 77% of respondents want the government to remain neutral.

45% disagree with Harper’s support of Israel’s actions.

32% agree.

Are Canadians that stupid and blind. Hezbollah is a terrorist organization who’s aim is the complete destruction of Israel and of Jews around the world. They also stand in hatred of all that the west stands for in our liberties and freedom. How can you stay neutral in that? Do you think that if they accomplish the destruction of Israel (which they never will) they will stop there? Think again! If It was Canada that was being attacked by a group who’s goal was our complete and utter destruction would we remain neutral? I don’t think so. These are people who want to throw the world back into the Dark Ages. They would like nothing better than to see the United States and her allies such as Canada, Britain and Australia fall.

If people would stop paying so much attention to the Liberal Media, who I am becoming more and more convinced are anti-Semitic, and looked at some of the other news sources which are less biassed such as the Drudge Report , CNSNEWS, and WorldNet Daily. These news outlets cover stories which the mainstream liberal news networks such as CNN, CTV, and CBC do not carry lest people find out the truth and start throwing their support behind Israel. Why is it that they just show the 40% of the nation of Lebanon that support Hezbollah and don’t speak to any of the majority of the 60% who are made up of Christians, Druze and Sunni Muslims? Why? Because much of them support Israel’s actions and want to see their country freed from Hezbollah and Syrian influence. I guess many have forgotten the massive demonstrations these communities had against Hezbollah and Syria last year.

For instance, when the 4 UN peacekeepers were killed last week by Israeli fire, Not one of the liberal stations reported that General Mackenzie a former General of Canada’s peacekeeping forces stated that they had received email from the Canadian who was killed that Hezbollah was using there post as cover for firing missiles at Israel.

Hezbollah has no problem with using people as human shields to protect themselves. They plant their rocket launchers in among civilians and dress the same as them. They especially love to use many of the Christians that live in the south of Lebanon. Take a look at these pictures that damn them;

What happened in Qana was truly a tragedy. But consider this. The Israeli air force hit within 20 to 30 metres of the building at midnight because of Hezbollah launching rockets from behind the building. The building collapsed eight hours later!

Take a look at this link. Hezbollah will do anything to turn the world’s opinion against Israel;

Israel had repeatedly warned the people in those area to leave and there have been many reports of the terrorists forcing them to stay. Hezbollah have been masters at playing for sympathy from the world.

Open up your eyes world! You can’t remain neutral in this! I Israel is the apple of God’s eye and He will always defend her no matter what. He has a master plan for them. No matter what those who conspire against her will never prevail.

Last week a 1000 year old manuscript was uncovered in a peet bog in Ireland. It was opened to Psalm 83. Listen to His word!

1 Do not keep silent, O God!
         Do not hold Your peace,
         And do not be still, O God!
 2 For behold, Your enemies make a tumult;
         And those who hate You have lifted up their head.
 3 They have taken crafty counsel against Your people,
         And consulted together against Your sheltered ones.
 4 They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation,
         That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.”
 5 For they have consulted together with one consent;
         They form a confederacy against You:
 6 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites;
         Moab and the Hagrites;
 7 Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek;
         Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;
 8 Assyria also has joined with them;
         They have helped the children of Lot.  Selah
 9 Deal with them as with Midian,
         As with Sisera,
         As with Jabin at the Brook Kishon,
 10 Who perished at En Dor,
         Who became as refuse on the earth.
 11 Make their nobles like Oreb and like Zeeb,
         Yes, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
 12 Who said, “Let us take for ourselves
         The pastures of God for a possession.”
 13 O my God, make them like the whirling dust,
         Like the chaff before the wind!
 14 As the fire burns the woods,
         And as the flame sets the mountains on fire,
 15 So pursue them with Your tempest,
         And frighten them with Your storm.
 16 Fill their faces with shame,
         That they may seek Your name, O LORD.
 17 Let them be confounded and dismayed forever;
         Yes, let them be put to shame and perish,
 18 That they may know that You, whose name alone is the LORD,
         Are the Most High over all the earth.

Israel exists so that you may know that God exists. Open up your eyes.
