Have a Blessed New Year!

Well it happened! My hard disk failed. lol and I can’t get a new one until this Friday at the earliest. As frustrating as it is to be without a computer, it is giving me a chance to do other things that needed my attention. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28
I sincerely pray that each and evryone of you that visits my space before New Year’s day will find the greatest blessings awaiting you in 2006. Keep Christ as the center of your life. Let Him be your all in all. Whether the times are good or bad remember that He never loses control.
May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other–each with the attitude of Christ Jesus toward the other. 6Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

    7So accept each other just as Christ has accepted you; then God will be glorified. 8Remember that Christ came as a servant to the Jews to show that God is true to the promises he made to their ancestors. 9And he came so the Gentiles might also give glory to God for his mercies to them. That is what the psalmist meant when he wrote:

    "I will praise you among the Gentiles;
       I will sing praises to your name."

    10And in another place it is written,

    "Rejoice, O you Gentiles,
       along with his people, the Jews."

    11And yet again,

    "Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles;
       praise him, all you people of the earth."

    12And the prophet Isaiah said,

    "The heir to David’s throne will come,
       and he will rule over the Gentiles.
       They will place their hopes on him."

13So I pray that God, who gives you hope, will keep you happy and full of peace as you believe in him. May you overflow with hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:5-13 (NLT)

My next blog will be on Monday January 2nd. See you then. – Gerry

  4. Ciao,Just out visiting all my space friends and thought that I\’d stop in and wish you all the best in this Holiday Season.I trust that you had a great Christmas, and I wish you a Happy New Year.God Bless YouLoveShelleyxXxP.S. Give my Best Wishes also to Pastor Paul and his family, as I can not open his site. Thanks so much Gerry.

  5. I was reading through your blogs, and I liked it because it was quite positive, but then I came to this sentence, which I don`t agree, and I feel that I need to express my thoughts on this one because I don`t beleive in hell:"Sin damns us to a place called hell that God only prepared as punishment for the devil and his demons". Fact is, the God is all-forgiving. If the God is all-powerful and all-loving, then then S/he/it wouldn’t EVER condemn ANYONE to an eternity of pain, torture or punishment…right?-Janik =)

  6. Janikl Wrong! Hell is a very real place and the majority of mankind is destinened to find itself there. He meaning God and yes He is a He as He is called the Father and not the mother. Although He does show some traits of a mother\’s love not once is He called she or it. Don\’t believe me look it up in the original Hebrew or Greek.What gets me is that many people think that by simply not believing in a place person or thing will make it go away. As much as you can say hell0 doesn\’t exist, it still does. You can stare at a chair all day telling yourself it doesn\’t exist simply because you say so. But the fact is the chair will still be there no matter how much you try to deny it\’s existance. I have seen hell and it is a very real place. I have heard the screams of the people and their anguish and pain. It is a very real place.God is very loving and compassionate, but He is also holy. Sin or unrighteousness cannot stand in His presence. Sin entered into the world through man and every single human being is born into it. But God because He does love His creation gave us a way out. John 3:16 says that: God so loved the world that He gave His only begotton Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. Jesus is the only hope you have my friend. He paid the ultimate sacrifice for you on the cross. He said very cleary the He is the Way, the Truth and the Life and that NO ONE comes to to the Father except through Him. Jesus is your only escape. He paid the price for your sins and without acknowledging Him and repenting of your sins, you are lost.

  9. Shalom,Deuteronomy 28:1-14Blessings on Obedience1 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God:3 “Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country. 4 “Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. 5 “Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. 6 “Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out. 7 “The LORD will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. 8 “The LORD will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the LORD your God is giving you. 9 “The LORD will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the LORD your God and walk in His ways. 10 Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they shall be afraid of you. 11 And the LORD will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which the LORD swore to your fathers to give you. 12 The LORD will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. 13 And the LORD will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them. 14 So you shall not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right or the left, to go after other gods to serve them.I Pray these blessings for you in the new year coming and after!Your brother in <><ChristWinston

  11. Hey Ger, been a long time. Just want to wish you a happy new year, and pass on a thought I had recently in regards to a quote someone mentioned somewhere.It was: \’Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.\’Was that Jesus who said that?Anyway, I just had the idea that maybe it has been misinterpreted.Do you think maybe Jesus wanted to throw the first stone?Ahh, nostalgia. I enjoyed the totally unaffected movie review of Brokeback Mountain you quoted.Anyway, do you reckon the apocalypse is coming this year? Hope not.Happy new year.
