Wonderfully Made

"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand." Psalm 139:14-17a

When I was little, I was a very lonely boy. I often wondered why I was born. Why me? Why did I exist? Did I really have a purpose or did God make a mistake when He made me? These are the questions that many young people ask themselves today. They have no sense of purpose and this world has no comfort to give them. Solomon explains how they feel in Ecclesiastes 1:2. He says "Meaningless! Meaningless! Everything is utterly meaningless!""So many fill their lives with things that dull their senses. Some become workaholics, others drug addicts or alcoholics. Some just can’t deal with it at all and take their lives.

But according to Psalm 139 none of us are mistakes. God has mapped out a plan for each of us. He says in Jeremiah 29:11; "For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." He loves us so much He sent His son Jesus to die for us that we might be able to come to Him. Jesus Himself said that God knows the very number of hairs on your head.. Luke 12:7

A lot has changed in my life since I was that lonely boy who thought he was a mistake. Christ has entered my life and shown me how much He loves me. He has given me a purpose and a hope. Never again will I ever struggle with that. I know I am precious to Him and I now know where I am going. I am following the path He ordained for me long before I was born.

What about you? Do you struggle with who you are?. There is a reason for your life and it doesn’t have to be meaningless. Jesus is the only one who can set you on the right path? Call on Him today and ask Him to take over your life. Surrender to Him, acknowledge Him in all your ways and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:6

God bless you and your family GerryThank you for this word. Thanks also for praying for my new friend. Again today the Lord allowed me to witness even more to my friend. There is a deep sense of aimlessness with this person so I am so thankful to be used by the Lord at this time. Til next time.

It\’s that you found your true calling in life and that you found God and Jesus love you while finding yourself. I just got one question: If God does have a plan for us, how about the ones that don\’t believe in God? Is that part of God\’s plan as well?

  3. Thanks for your blog, I enjoyed reading it.Kim

hmm what to say about something like this, not too often you come across a space that has sooooo much about god, I\’m CATHOLIC, and I belive in god, but to read of and remember passages out of the bible is not something for me, but I applaud you for what your doing, but it\’s not something that I would go about my everyday life….well anyways, have a nice day

Thanx so much for your space! It\’s beautiful & so full of worship! I can tell you love God & share a common heart for worship with me. Isn\’t it amazing how people of the Spirit can come today, even through cyberspace, & feel a connection, even though they\’ve never physically met? That\’s how it is with so many people I\’ve met through this place. Keep on looking up & keep on writing for God\’s glory. :)I was wondering if I could add you to my favourite blogs list. It\’s truly one of the best I\’ve seen & would love to let people know that. 🙂

I haven\’t read all of your page yet, but intend to do so in the future.I am hoping you will have different sermons each week. I have given my entire being to Jesus about ten years ago.The positive changes that have taken place in my life are a testament to His power and Love! Thanks again for creating something that will be a daily part of my life! Bob F
